Datebook: March 12 - Market House Museum, Writing Support Group, Beat Beethoven 5K

The Market House Museum in Paducah opens for the season this Saturday from 10 to 4. New exhibits include the Sells-Floto Circus of 1929 and Paducah’s Noble Park Funland. The opening celebration includes animal crackers, popcorn, and balloons for visitors. For more information, visit markethousemuseum.com.

A writing support group for published authors or those wanting to get published holds an informational meeting this Sunday afternoon at 2 at the Calloway County Public Library. The group meets once or twice a month to have coffee and discuss writing. For more information, call (270) 227-2309. 

The Paducah Symphony Orchestra holds the annual Beat Beethoven 5K on Saturday, March 28, at 9 a.m. at Noble Park in Paducah. Anyone who "Beats Beethoven" receives a ticket to the PSO's season-ending Carmina Burana concert. There’s also 1-mile youth run. Race day registration is available, or register in advance through active.com.
