Datebook: June 15 - Hybridizing Lillies, Blood Drive, Henry Faulkner Art

The Western Kentucky Botanical Garden hosts the sixth annual Nellie Rarick Memorial Lecture this Wednesday morning at 11:30. Featured speakers Drs. Ernie and Evelyn Hiatt give a presentation on hybridizing. For reservations, call (270) 852-8925. 

The American Red Cross holds a blood drive this Thursday from 12:30 to 5:30 at First Presbyterian Church of Murray, located at 1601 Main Street. Donors must be at least 17, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health. To make an appointment to give blood, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

The Janice Mason Art Museum "The Henry Lawrence Faulkner and the Greene Settle Collection" from June 19 through August 22. Henry Faulkner was born in Beech Spring, Kentucky, and became an internationally acclaimed artist whose works are known for their color, imagination, and child-like innocence. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 4 and Sunday from 1 to 4.
