As part of the Jackson Purchase Foundation's Summer Conservation Series, the Murray State University Expo Center hosts a free Healthy Soils workshop and Backyard Conservation workshop next Friday from 9 to noon. The 6th Annual Downtown Paris Ice Cream Social & Antique Car Show are tomorrow afternoon from 4 to 7 in downtown Paris, TN. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the R.E.A.L. Hope Youth Center and the Downtown Paris Association. More information at visitdowntownparis.com.

The Icehouse Gallery in Mayfield has issued a Call to Artists for this year's "Arts in the Community" show. Drop off entries next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
