Datebook: July 17 - Hasselhoff Turns 60

You know him from Baywatch, Knight Rider, and a singing sensation in Germany. David Hasselhoff turns 60 today, but he's keeping active dancing with stars, jumping in cars, and judging America's talented. Look for him in the upcoming Baywatch movie re-boot, hopefully not still drinking his endless supply of cream soda.

It’s Tuesday, July 17

Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man” will be performed this weekend at the Trigg County High School Little Theatre.  The musical comedy features con man Harold Hill, who plans to sell band instruments to the residents of River City before skipping town with the cash.  Shows will be Friday and Saturday nights at 7, with an additional matinee performance Sunday at 2.  Purchase tickets at the Janice Mason Art Museum or at the door.

The Pennyrile Grandparent Support Group will meet tomorrow morning at 10 at the Pennyrile Area Development District Office in Hopkinsville.  For more information, call James Patterson at 886-9484.

A nutrition education event called “Sweet Treats that Don’t Defeat” will be held tomorrow at noon at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital Center for Health and Wellness.  A registered dietician will give tips on maintaining a balanced diet.  For more information, call (270) 762-1348.
