Datebook: January 9 - Simone de Beauvoir's Birthday

The Murray Art Guild's First Saturdays workshop series for youth starts this Saturday with a clay sculpture workshop taught by Mickey Garrison. The three-week workshop meets from 3 to 5 and is designed for ages 10 to 15. Participants form and create clay sculptures, then complete the pieces with paint. See details at murrayartguild.org.

Next Thursday night at 7 meterologist Beau Dodson gives a photographic presentation on our region's extreme decade of weather as part of the McCracken County Public Library's Evenings Upstairs series. The presentation is free and open to the public. See more at mclib.net.
