Datebook: January 9 - LBL Field Trip Grant, Edgar Cayce 101, Gentry House Donations

Public school districts within 100 miles of Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area can apply for an Educational Field Trip Grant for the 2015-2016 school year. The grants help schools cover costs for transportation, facility admission fees, and dorm rental. Educators must apply by April 30, 2015. For more information, call (270) 924-2091. 

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County hosts “Edgar Cayce 101,” a two-part series that examines the life and work of the Christian County native. Free programs are this Saturday and next from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library. For more information, visit museumsofhopkinsville.org.

The Gentry House seeks donations of toilet paper, dish soap, toilet bowl cleaner, toilet bowl brushes, disinfectant wipes, trash bags, and dish sponges. To contribute, contact the staff at (270) 761-6802 or gentryhouse@gmail.com.
