Datebook: January 8 - Make A Difference Day, Gooney Bird Greene, Solar System Weather

The 104th Make a Difference Day is tomorrow from 9 to 1 at Murray State’s Roy Stewart Stadium. Items collected include paper, cardboard, eyeglasses, aluminum cans, cell phones, ink jet cartridges, clothes, shoes, prescription drugs, glass, motor oil, books, sports gear, wheelchairs, walkers, and e-scrap. 

Market House Theatre holds auditions for "Gooney Bird Greene and Her True Life Adventures" Monday and Tuesday nights at 5 in the Studio Theatre. Gooney Bird Greene is a new kid in town with outrageous fashion sense and a knack for telling crazy stories. A large cast of all ages from elementary students to adults is needed.

The Golden Pond Planetarium at Land Between the Lakes presents “Wildest Weather in the Solar System” tomorrow afternoon at 3. The National Geographic journey is sponsored by the Jesse D. Jones College of Science, Engineering, and Technology at Murray State University.
