Datebook: January 5 - Book Sale, Blood Drive, Aluminum Cans Needed

The Friends of the Calloway County Public Library hold a book sale this Friday and Saturday from 9 to 4 at the library. There’s also an early bird sale for Friends of the Library members Thursday night from 5 to 7. The sale features a variety of hardback and paperback books including fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, young adult books, and more. 

The American Red Cross holds a blood drive tomorrow afternoon from 1:30 to 5:30 at the Centerville United Methodist Church. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 lbs., and be in general good health. To schedule an appointment, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

The WATCH Center at 702 Main Street in Murray needs aluminum cans for an ongoing fundraising project. Drop off cans any time by driving through the parking lot on the west side of the center and placing them in the cotton wagon.
