Murray State’s English and Philosophy Department presents the Mojave poet Natalie Diaz Thursday, February 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Clara Eagle Gallery of Doyle Fine Arts near 15th and Olive in Murray. An Old Dominion MFA graduate, Ms. Diaz played professional basketball in Europe and Asia between degrees. She is the author of the 2012 collection: When My Brother Was an Aztec.
The fifth annual Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation 5K Scrub Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk is Saturday. Registration begins at 8 at the Paris Civic Center. Cost to run is $15 in advance at hcmc-tn.org or $20 Saturday. The Paris-Henry County Healthy Henry County Expo is also at the Civic Center from 8 to noon Saturday.
Main Street Murray offers its Annual Trivia Contest Friday, February 21, at the Murray Banquet Center. Doors open at 6 for refreshments. Competition starts at 6:30.
