Datebook: January 29 - Mardi Gras Ball, Cupid's Chase, Folk Art Grant

A Mardi Gras Ball benefiting the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center is set for Friday, Feb. 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Paris Convention Center. Tickets are available at the Heritage Center, Maggie's, or from any board member. For table reservations, call 731-642-1030. 

The Cupid’s Chase 5K and 10K are Saturday, February 14, at Noble Park in Paducah. Registration starts at 8, and the races start at 10. Proceeds benefit Community Options, Inc., a non-profit organization providing housing and employment support to individuals with disabilities. More information at paducahky.gov.

The Kentucky Arts Council's Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Grant provides up to $3000 to a Kentucky master traditional artist to teach a less experienced artist from the same community during the course of a year.
