Datebook: January 28 - Musical Timeline, Quilt Motion, Backpack Food Donation

Bass-baritone Christopher Mitchell and pianist Meeyoun Park present a program titled "Songs for the Stage: A Musical Theatre Timeline." The recital is this Friday night at 7:30 in the Performing Arts Hall of the Old Fine Arts Building on the campus of Murray State University. Admission is free. 

The exhibit “Motion” from the Contemporary QuiltArt Association remains on display at the National Quilt Museum through February 23. The exhibit features both abstract and representational quilts combining the elements of line, shape, and texture to suggest movement. For more information, visit quiltmuseum.org.

The Need Line Back-Pack Children’s Food Program seeks donations of fruit snacks, fruit cups, pudding cups, juice boxes, single serve cereal boxes, granola bars, apple sauce cups, cheese & crackers, Poptarts, and vegetable juice boxes. To help with the program, call 270-753-6333. Donations can be dropped off at Need Line, 509 N. Eighth Street.
