West Kentucky Community and Technical College holds the Kentucky Crafts Beverage Conference this Thursday night from 6 to 9 in Crounse Hall. The conference is free and open to the public and features information on opening a brewery and the production of hops within the region.
The Friends of the McCracken County Public Library hold their Winter Book Sale this weekend. Sale hours are Friday from 9 to 7 and Saturday from 9 to 1. The event is held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at the corner of South 21st and Kentucky Avenue in Paducah. Proceeds benefit the library.
Murray State University associate professor of violin and viola Dr. Sue-Jean Park presents a recital this Saturday afternoon at 3:30 in the Performing Arts Hall. The program includes the Franck Violin Sonata, show pieces by Elgar, Kreisler, Massenet, and Paganini, and Gershwin's "Summertime." Pianist Min-kyo Jung and guitarist Brent Webster accompany.
