Datebook: January 22 - Mardi Gras Benefit, Eagle Viewing Tour, WATCH Center Cans

The 14th Annual Mardi Gras & All That Jazz event benefiting the Lourdes Foundation is set for Tuesday, February 9, from 6-9 p.m. at the Julian Carroll Convention Center in downtown Paducah. The event includes food and drink from the region's restaurants, entertainment by Lew Jetton & 61 South, and a live auction of artwork by Bill Ford. Reservations are available at the Lourdes website.

Land Between the Lakes offers an Eagle Viewing Van Tour on Saturday, January 30, from 1:30 to 5. The van tour visits eagle-viewing hotspots, where naturalists help visitors spot eagles and other wildlife. Registration is limited, with reservations and full deposits required. Dress for the weather.

The WATCH Center at 702 Main Street in Murray needs aluminum cans for an ongoing fundraising project. Drop off cans any time by driving through the parking lot on the west side of the center and placing them in the cotton wagon.
