The Jackson Purchase Historical Society meets this Saturday morning at 10:30 at the McCracken County Public Library. The featured presentation is by J.D. Wilkes, author and illustrator of the book "Barn Dances & Jamborees Across Kentucky." The meeting is open to the public and free of charge, but seating is limited.
The Missoula Children's Theatre holds auditions for a production of The Jungle Book Monday afternoon at 4 at Belmont Elementary School. Students in grades K-12 are invited to audition. Registration is now open for the Murray Half Marathon, to be held Saturday, April 18. Options include a 13.1 mile race, a 13.1 mile two-person relay race, or a 5K run/walk.
