Datebook: January 2 - Gentry House Donations, Motion Quilt Art, Computer Classes

The Gentry House seeks donations of toilet paper, dish soap, toilet bowl cleaner, toilet bowl brushes, disinfectant wipes, laundry detergent, kitchen trash bags, and dish sponges. To contribute, contact the staff at (270) 761-6802 or gentryhouse@gmail.com

An exhibit titled “Motion” from the Contemporary QuiltArt Association remains on display at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah through February 23. The exhibit features both abstract and representational quilts combining the elements of line, shape, and texture to suggest movement. For more information, visit quiltmuseum.org.

The Calloway County Public Library offers a free beginner computer class on Microsoft Word January 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. There’s an advanced Microsoft Word class January 8 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required by calling (270) 753-2288.
