Datebook: January 12 - Governor's Garden, Alzheimer's Support, Boyhood Film

The Governor’s Garden Initiative is designed to encourage community organizations in Kentucky to cultivate their own gardens to educate people about the benefits of gardening. Schools, parks, and others are invited to apply before February 15 to receive seeds, transplants, and a year of gardening consultation. Visit governorsgarden.ky.gov for more information. 

The Alzheimer's Support Group holds a regular monthly meeting tomorrow morning at 10 at the Pennyrile Area Development District office. For more information, contact Miranda Hunt at (270) 886-9484.

Murray State University’s Cinema International presents the film “Boyhood” this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at 7:30 at the Curris Center Theater. The film was made over the course of 12 years and examines the transformation of a boy to a man in contemporary America. Admission is free and open to all.
