Datebook: February 5 - Edgar Cayce 101, Summer Art Workshop, METALS Exhibit

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County host “Edgar Cayce 101” tomorrow from 10:30 to noon at the Pennyroyal Area Museum. The event features a discussion about Cayce’s readings on diet and exercise, healing, and prayer and meditation. The event is free and open to the public. 

Registration is now open for Murray State University's Summer Art Workshop 2016. The workshop is for high school students and features study in sculpture and 3D printing, mixed media painting, stop-motion animation, drawing and animation, and art history. See details on Facebook.

The Murray Art Guild hosts an exhibit titled “METALS: found, repurposed, and photographed.” The exhibit includes sculpture, relief work, and photography by local artist Nathan Kennedy. There’s a reception tonight from 5 to 7, and the exhibit remains on display through February 27th. Guild hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 to 4 and Saturday from 10 to 2.
