Datebook: February 25 - Errand of Mercy, Logging Listening Session, LBJ Lecture

The Murray State University History Department holds the 2015 T. Wayne Beasley Scholarship Banquet on Saturday, March 7, at 7 p.m. in the Curris Center Stables. The guest speaker is Dr. Christine Kinealy, who speaks on "'An Errand of Mercy': Sending Relief to the Irish Poor during the Great Hunger." Reservations are required by March 2 by calling (270) 809-2234. 

A listening session concerning logging at Land Between the Lakes is set for tomorrow night at 6:30 at the Senior Center in Grand Rivers. The event is hosted by Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander and Lyon County Judge Executive Wade White. The public is invited to attend.

As part of the Academic Speaker Series at the University of Tennessee-Martin, Dr. Mark Updegrove, director of the LBJ Library, speaks on “LBJ and America’s Promise” tomorrow night at 7:30 in Watkins Auditorium. Admission is free.
