Datebook: February 16 - Smoking Cessation, Moving Stories, Johnny Green

Baptist Health Paducah offers a Smoking Cessation Class tomorrow morning at 9:30 in the Atrium Classroom of Doctors Office Building 2. The free session helps those wanting to overcome tobacco use with a customized quit plan. For more information, call (270) 442-1310. 

Austin Peay State University holds the ninth annual Spring Dance Concert this week. The theme is "Moving Stories.” All performances are at Trahern Theatre, with 7:30 showtimes this Wednesday through Saturday and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Tickets are available online at apsu.edu/theatre-dance.

There’s a Kentucky Chautauqua performance of “Johnny Green: An Orphan’s Survival” this Saturday afternoon at 2 at Wrather West Kentucky Museum on the campus of Murray State University. Johnny Green was 19 when the Civil War broke out and was one of the only soldiers in the Orphan Brigade alive when it ended. The performance is free and open to the public.
