“Children of Paradise” is this week’s Cinema International film. In the 1820s Paris theater district, a mime falls in love with a beautiful woman after he saves her from a pickpocket, but true love is star-crossed by her entanglements with other men. Free showings are at 7:30 tonight, tomorrow night, and Saturday night at Murray State’s Curris Center Theater.
The Paducah Symphony Orchestra choruses and the Murray State Concert Choir join together to present “Made In America” Saturday afternoon at 4 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Paducah. The concert features American folk music. Find ticket information atpaducahsymphony.org.
The Paducah Renaissance Alliance is now accepting applications from farmers who are interested in being vendors for the 2013 Downtown Farmers Market. The market kicks off on April 25 and is open Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9 to 3 and on Thursdays from 2 to 6. Apply at paducahalliance.org.
