Merry Christmas from all of us at WKMS!

The 2013 Murray Half Marathon offers a 13-week training program starting in January.  The program is designed to help runners of any skill level train to run or walk the half marathon, the half marathon relay, or the 5K race.  Participants meet Saturdays at 10AM.  See details at the Murray Half Marathon Facebook page.

The Northwest Services Peace Program is looking for families to host foreign exchange students.  High school students live with their host families and attend local high schools for either a full 10-month academic year or for a 5-month semester program.  Learn more about becoming a host family at nw-services.com.

West Kentucky Community and Technical College hosts a photography contest complementing the community read of “Half Broke Horses,” by Jeannette Walls.  Photos should focus on horses or images including horses.  Entries are accepted through February 4. Learn more atwestkentucky.kctcs.edu

Kala Dunn is a native of Princeton, Ky. She’s a 2006 graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy with a concentration in flute performance and a 2010 graduate of Murray State University with a B.M. in piano performance. She lives in Hamlin, Ky.
Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
