Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park hosts The Gathering of the Eagles January 9 and 10 at the park. The weekend includes luxury boat tours and bus tours in search of bald eagles, with interpretive staff from the Kentucky Department of Parks and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife on hand to answer questions. The Paducah Cooperative Ministry is raising funds for the construction of Fresh Start Village, a sheltered community of six residential units for homeless women and children. At full capacity, the facility will be capable of housing 30 to 40 people. Details at paducahcoopministry.org.
The Paducah Wastelanders hold their 9th Annual New Year's Eve Art Exhibition and Celebration next Thursday night from 6 to 9 at the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah. The event includes live music and refreshments. Following the opening reception, the show is on display January 2nd and January 5th through the 9th from 10 to 5 daily.
