Market House Theatre in Paducah offers a new trimester of Footlights beginning January 9. The classes meet Saturday mornings and are open to kids in Pre-K through 12th grade. Participants in the elementary and middle school sessions produce a play on the theatre stage, while the high school troupe focuses on monologue and acting skills.
Calloway County Public Library’s Sunday Reads Book Club features an eclectic mix of fiction and non-fiction titles. The group meets one Sunday a month at 3 p.m. The January meeting is scheduled for the 24th and features “The Wilder Life: My Adventures in the Lost World of Little House on the Prairie” by Wendy McClure. The WATCH Center at 702 Main Street in Murray needs aluminum cans for an ongoing fundraising project. Drop off cans any time by driving through the parking lot on the west side of the center and placing them in the cotton wagon.
