Datebook: December 21 - Animal Foster Families, Mardi Gras Event, Crisis Relief Donations

The Humane Society of Calloway County seeks foster families willing to host animals until they can be placed in permanent homes. Foster home applications and more information about the foster program available at forthepets.org

Registration is open for the 14th Annual Mardi Gras & All That Jazz event, benefiting the Lourdes Foundation. The event is set for Tuesday, February 9, from 6-9 p.m. at the Julian Carroll Convention Center in downtown Paducah. There’s food and drink from the region's restaurants and vendors, live entertainment by Lew Jetton & 61 South, and a live auction of artwork by Bill Ford.

The Aaron McNeil House is a crisis relief center located at 604 East 2nd St in Hopkinsville. The center assists the working poor of Christian County and seeks donations of hot or cold cereal, canned veggies, boxed meals, ramen noodles, dried milk, dried pasta, rice, beans, canned fruit, and toiletries. Volunteer opportunities are also available.
