Datebook: December 18 - Virtual Snowglobe, River Photo Contest, Need Line Donations

The Golden Pond Planetarium at Land Between the Lakes presents “Let It Snow” tomorrow morning at 10. The holiday music spectacle transforms the full-dome planetarium into a virtual snowglobe, with classic Christmas songs from Frank Sinatra, Chuck Berry, Burl Ives, Brenda Lee, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and more. 

West Kentucky Community and Technical College invites the community to participate in the Saints at the River photo contest. Photos should relate to the novel by Ron Rash. Both traditional and experimental photography are welcome. Cash prizes are awarded to the winners. The deadline to submit an entry form is January 14, and the exhibit opens on the 21st.

Need Line of Murray seeks donations of canned pasta, hot dogs, bread, fruit, eggs, fresh vegetables, dish liquid, toothbrushes, deodorant, bar soap, and large brown paper bags. Need Line is located at 509 North 8th Street, and donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 10 to 4.
