Datebook: December 17 - State of Downtown, Food Distribution, Pet Adoption

There’s a State of the Downtown: Moving Forward town hall meeting tomorrow morning at 9 at the Robert O. Miller Conference Center in Murray. The focus of the meeting is to look at the past year and discuss strategies for 2015. It’s open to all. 

The Mayfield-Graves County Needline and Food Pantry holds its monthly senior citizens commodities distribution this Friday morning from 8 to 10. The food commodities are for local senior citizens ages 60 and up who have signed up for and been approved for the program. For more information or to find out if you qualify, call (270) 247-6333.

The Humane Society of Marshall County hosts an adoption event Saturday from 10 to 2 at the Marshall County Co-Op. Cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies are available for adoption. The Co-Op is located at 501 Poplar Street in Benton. For information on donating, volunteering, and current adoptable animals, visit humanesocietyofmarshallcounty.org.
