A reception celebrating the 1980s Murray Community Chorus and its director, Dr. Irma Collins, is this Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 at the Calloway County Public Library. There will be historic memorabilia and music from the chorus’s performances. Former chorus members, members of the community, and those who enjoyed the chorus’s performances from 1980-1984 are invited to attend.
Calloway County Public Schools host an incoming kindergarten “Laker 4 Life” night this Thursday from 4:30 to 6 at Calloway County High School. The evening includes kindergarten readiness activities with preschool and kindergarten teachers from all Calloway County schools. Dinner is provided at no cost, and students receive a free Class of 2029 T-shirt.
The Murray State Clay Club holds its holiday sale tomorrow and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily in the lobby of the Price Doyle Fine Arts Building, located on the campus of Murray State University. Sale proceeds support student travel to professional conferences.
