The Murray Kids Against Hunger Association holds a mac & cheese packaging session this Saturday. Volunteers of all ages are needed for one of two shifts, 9 to 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is held at Stahler Farm on HWY 121 South. The Calloway County Family Resource Center has issued an Angel Alert for a double mattress, a twin mattress, and bunk beds with mattresses to be given to families with children. To donate items, contact Michelle Hansen at (270) 762-7333.
The Yeiser Art Center hosts an exhibit titled “Shayukou: The Paintings” featuring the work of Paducah-based artist Paul Lorenz. The abstract paintings play on themes of balance, visual structure, and color. There’s an opening reception this Saturday night from 5 to 7, and the exhibit remains on display through September 23.
