Datebook: April 20 - Red Bus Project, Free Health Screening, Quilting: A Legacy of Love

The Red Bus Project is a double-decker bus turned mobile thrift store that spreads awareness about the orphans and mobilizes orphan care advocates. The bus stops at the Murray State University campus gates tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. More information is available at the Red Bus Project Facebook page

Murray-Calloway County Hospital offers a free health screening for blood pressure and pulse on tomorrow morning from 8:30 to 11:30 at the Weaks Senior Citizens Center. Details about this and other upcoming health screenings are available at murrayhospital.org.

Kentucky author Bobbie Smith Bryant presents "Quilting: A Legacy of Love" this Thursday night at 7 as part of the Evenings Upstairs program at McCracken County Public Library. Learn how the simple act of making something beautiful from scraps gave women a voice in the days when they had little or none. The program is free and open to all.
