Datebook 4/20: Honor Quilt, Beekeeping 101, Mini Book Sale

The River Discovery Center in Paducah hosts the International Honor Quilt through the end of the month. The exhibit consists of 150 quilt panels made by women all over the globe to honor women including Eleanor Roosevelt, Maria Montessori, Pearl Buck, Anne Frank, Janis Joplin, and more. The River Discovery Center is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 to 5 and Sunday from 1 to 5. 

The Hopkins County - Madisonville Public Library holds "Beekeeping 101" tomorrow evening from 5 to 6. Learn the basics of beekeeping in a free informational class that uses resources from The Audubon Beekeepers Association, and see a live beehive in action.

The McCracken County Public Library Friends of the Library holds its Spring Mini Book Sale. The sale features primarily quilting and spring-themed material but also includes general fiction, mystery, and other genres. The sale is tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Kentucky Avenue lobby.
