Datebook 4/12: Provost Concert, Frankenstein, Mutt Strut

The Murray State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble holds its annual Provost’s Concert tonight at 7:30 in Lovett Auditorium. The concert features guest soloist Master Gunnery Sergeant Susan Rider, principal trumpet in the United States Marine Band stationed in Washington, D.C. The concert is free and open to the public. 

The Murray State University Department of Theatre presents "Frankenstein" this Thursday through Sunday. Based on the novel by Mary Shelley, the drama explores the struggles that come with attempting to create life that will end only in death. Tickets available through murraystatetickets.com.

A Mutt Strut benefiting the Hopkinsville Dog Park is this Saturday morning at 11 at the Pardue Lane Trailhead. The one-mile walk on the Pennyrile Rail Trail includes visits with pet vendors, a chance to win prizes, and music by First Dance DJ Service. Registered participants can have professional photos taken with their pup. Registration, T-shirt pickup, and more starts at 10 a.m.
