Datebook 3/8: Sacred Arts Series, Finance Presentation, Blood Drive

First United Methodist Church of Hopkinsville continues its inaugural season of the Main St. Sacred Arts Series with a recital of sacred solo music appropriate for the season of Lent tomorrow at noon at the church. Soprano Amber Heady and baritone Tyler Saunders sing works by Faure, Ives, Hayes, Vaughan Williams, and others. Admission is free. 

Celebrated business and finance analyst Michael Farr gives a presentation tomorrow night at 7 in the Curris Center Stables. Farr is president and majority owner of Farr, Miller & Washington, LLC. He has frequently appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, NBC's Nightly News, CNN, Bloomberg TV, Reuters, and the Nightly Business Report. A reception follows the lecture.

The American Red Cross holds a blood drive tomorrow from noon to 5 at Symsonia Elementary School. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 lbs, and be in general good health. More information at redcrossblood.org.
