Datebook 3/3: Federal Grant Workshop, Angels Attic Donations, Environmental Education

A representative from the National Endowment for the Arts presents an interactive workshop about the availability of federal grants for the arts tomorrow morning at 9 at the Paducah Commerce Center. The workshop is geared towards non-profit organizations, but anyone interested in learning more is welcome. Registration information available by contacting the Paducah Chamber. 

Angels Attic Thrift Shop seeks donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, household items, and toys. Community donations help Angels Attic Thrift Store fund the Angels Community Clinic, the Gentry House for homeless families, and other local agencies. Bring donations to 972 Chestnut Street Monday through Saturday from 8 to 5.

The Woodlands Nature Station hosts “Environmental Education for Recreational Settings: Using Project Learning Tree and Project WILD.” The workshop is designed for educators and offers ideas for games, crafts, and other engaging activities to help deliver environmental education messages in a fun and enjoyable way. The workshop is set for Tuesday from 10 to 4.
