Datebook 3/14: Guest Guitarist, Special Olympics, Laundry & Bourbon

The Murray State University Department of Music holds a guest artist recital by guitarist Dr. Stephen Mattingly, assistant professor of music at the University of Louisville. The free recital is tomorrow night at 7:30 in the Performing Arts Hall.

The Mayfield/Graves County Special Olympics delegation is looking for coaches, volunteers, and eligible Special Olympics athletes interested in participating in Track and Field. Registration and practice is this Wednesday at 3:15 at the Graves County High School Track. There are running, walking, and field events for all ages and skill levels. Anyone interested in being a Unified Partner may also attend.

The Murray State University department of theatre presents “Lone Star” and “Laundry & Bourbon” tomorrow night at 7:30 in the studio theatre of Wilson Hall. “Lone Star” takes place in the cluttered backyard of a small-town Texas bar, and “Laundry & Bourbon” is its companion piece. The shows are for mature audiences only. Tickets available at the door.
