Datebook 3/10: Running for a Cure, Yeiser Family Day, Kentucky Chautauqua

The Murray Miracles host the annual Running for a Cure 5K this Saturday morning at 10. Proceeds from the event benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The race begins at the intersection of 15th Street and Olive Boulevard. Registration is available in advance on Facebook, or register on the day of the race beginning at 8 a.m. 

The Yeiser Art Center holds Family Day this Saturday afternoon from 12 to 4. The day includes a free hands-on kids’ origami activity and free guided tours of the current exhibit titled “False River.” The event coincides with River Art Day in Downtown and Lowertown Paducah, during which many galleries feature original artwork with a central river theme.

The Graves County Public Library hosts a Kentucky Chautauqua presentation on Madeline McDowell Breckenridge this Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Actress Kelly Brengelman portrays the state and national leader in the women's suffrage movement who was highly instrumental in getting Kentucky to ratify the 19th amendment.
