Datebook 3/1: Sculpture Invitational, A Distant Light, Young Masters

The Paducah School of Art and Design hosts its inaugural National Sculpture Invitational at the Clemens Fine Arts Center. The exhibit features contemporary work in the sculpture discipline by leading artists from around the country. There’s an opening reception this Thursday night from 5 to 7, and the exhibit remains on display through April 7th. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 to 4. 

Justice Bill Cunningham holds a book discussion on "A Distant Light" Saturday at 12:30 at the Graves County Public Library. The book focuses on social injustices from Kentucky's past. A signing follows the discussion.

The Pennyroyal Arts Council presents a Youth Art Month exhibit titled “Young Masters,” opening today and remaining on display through March 30th at the Hopkinsville Community College Auditorium Gallery. The exhibit includes pencil drawings, watercolors, collages, and photography by elementary, middle, and high school students in Christian County.

Kala Dunn is a native of Princeton, Ky. She’s a 2006 graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy with a concentration in flute performance and a 2010 graduate of Murray State University with a B.M. in piano performance. She lives in Hamlin, Ky.
