Datebook 2/22: Southlandia, The Outsiders, Bombast-Burgoo-Bourbon

The Trahern Gallery at Austin Peay State University presents "Southlandia" featuring the work of Andrew Blanchard. The print works reinterpret various places on the periphery of many Southern towns and cities that are on the fringe of society. There’s an opening reception today, and the exhibit remains on display through March 18th. 

Market House Theatre in Paducah holds auditions for "The Outsiders" tonight and tomorrow night at 7 in the Studio Theatre. Directed by April Cochran, this classic coming-of-age drama set in the 1950s tells the story of Ponyboy and his struggles with right and wrong after he and his greaser friend are attacked. Details about cast needs and how to audition are available on the Market House Theatre website.

Berry Craig presents “The Three Bs of Old-Time Kentucky Politics: Bombast, Burgoo, and Bourbon” tomorrow night at 5 at the Graves County Public Library. The non-partisan talk is presented by the Kentucky Humanities Council.
