Congressman Whitfield Endorses Romney

Murray, KY – 1st District Kentucky Congressmen Ed Whitfield is endorsing Mitt Romney for President. Whitfield previously told WKMS he "liked" Texas Governor Rick Perry prior to his announcement. Whitfield endorsed Romney in his 2008 bid.

Whitfield's office confirms that he praises Romney's balancing Massachusetts budget with no tax increases and leaving the state with a Rainy Day Fund, when he left his term as Governor.

Along with Whitfield, the website Politico reports 6th District Kentucky Congressman Hal Rogers also endorsed Romney this week.

Kentucky Public Radio's Phillip Bailey reports Senator Rand Paul is the only other member of the Kentucky delegation to endorse a GOP presidential candidate. Senator Paul is endorsing his father, Ron Paul.
