Clarksville, TN – An aircraft modification company has reported interest in locating to Outlaw Field in Montgomery County, Tennessee. Airport Authority Chairman Ron Whitford and County Mayor Carolyn Bowers say recruiting the business is still preliminary, but it shows the potential benefits of improving the airport. If the company does locate there, it would bring as many as 200 high-paying jobs to Clarksville. The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports county commissioners must decide whether to provide 625-thousand in matching funds for a federal grant. It would fund constructing a new terminal and improving the runway at Outlaw Field.
