City of Madisonville aids library renovation
The City of Madisonville is giving $10,000 for renovations to the Hopkins County-Madisonville Public Library.
The library is working to allocate additional funds to move back downtown from its current location in the Parkway Plaza Mall. Projected total costs are around 700-thousand dollars. The Madisonville Messenger reports the library’s lease in the mall ends December 31st- but may be able to remain there rent-free until the new location opens.
