Church Raises Money for Man Hunt

By Angela Hatton

Hopkinsville, KY – A Hopkinsville church is trying to raise money to increase the reward amount in the search for a murder suspect. Members of Virginia Street Baptist Church hope to raise the reward for information in the shooting death of businessman James Quarles Junior. The amount already stands at six thousand dollars. The Kentucky New Era reports 60-year-old Quarles was shot to death at his clothing store April 2, and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the register. He was a deacon at Virginia Street Baptist. Hopkinsville police continue to follow up on leads in the case.
