Christian County Selects New Superintendent
By Gary Pitts
The Christian County School District has selected Mary Ann Gemmill as its new superintendent. Board of Education members made the decision Wednesday night.
Gemmill has worked in public education for about 40 years, serving as a teacher as well as in numerous administrative capacities. She most recently served as the Chief Administrative Officer for Collier County Schools in Naples, Florida, but was laid off as a restructuring plan eliminated her position.
WKDZ Radio reports Gemmill will make $150,000 dollars a year, $30,000 less than her salary in Naples. Gemmill officially takes the helm July 1st.
