Christian County Expects H1N1 Vaccine

By Chris Taylor

Hopkinsville, KY – Christian County Health Department officials expect to receive a small supply of H1N1 vaccine within the next few weeks. Health Department Director Mark Pyle says he expects about 400 doses of the nasal mist-type vaccine and a shipment of the injectable variety by late October. The Kentucky New Era reports dispensing the vaccines will be by priority. Initial quantities are reserved for health care workers in area hospitals. After that, pregnant women, people who care for infants, children with chronic illnesses, and children under four years old are eligible to receive the vaccine.
