A search committee is en route to hiring the next President and CEO of the Christian County Chamber of Commerce.
Previous president Marian Mason resigned from her post in early May after serving the Chamber since last February. Vice President of Community Affairs YasaminAusenbaugh is currently serving as interim president until the position is filled.
Board Chairman Frank Field says the committee is made up of 11 individuals of varying backgrounds in agriculture, non-profit work, military affairs and government.
Field hopes the diversity of the committee will garner interest in the search throughout the community.
Of the 20 applicants who have applied since the job posting in early May, eight have been selected for further review.
The committee will conduct interviews within the week with the next president named in June.
