Carroll Academy in trouble

By Rebecca Feldhaus

Huntington, TN – Budget cuts in Tennessee threaten the livelihood of Huntingdon's Carroll Academy. Carroll Academy is a school for at-risk students. The school will soon lose a little under 650-thousand dollars in state funding. Director Randy Hatch says with the annual budget of 900-thousand dollars, the cut is just too big to survive. The same kind of cut occurred one year ago, and local schools rallied together to pay for the difference. Hatch says they will not close without exhausting all options.
