Car Parts Manufacturer Adding 115 New Jobs to Hopkinsville Plant

A car parts manufacturer in Christian County is expanding production while creating up to 115 new jobs. 

Douglas Autotech announced today that it will invest more than $14 million at its Hopkinsville plant which manufactures steering columns and shifters.

The plant first opened in 1995 and currently employs more than 230 people.  

The State is providing Douglas Autotech up to $3 million in tax incentives through the Kentucky Business Investment program. 

The new jobs will be added over the next three years.  

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club. Rob's goal is to become a screenwriter, film director or producer and looks to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie for inspiration. He appreciates good music, mainly favoring British rock n' roll, and approves of anything with Jack White's name on it. When not studying, rowing or writing, Rob enjoys spending his free time with a book or guitar.
