Calloway's Relay For Life Kicks Off Tonight

Calloway County's Relay For Life will begin tonight at 7 in Murray’s Cherry Expo Center. Over its 15+ years, the relay has honored those affected by cancer while raising donations toward a cure. This includes survivors, caretakers and those who have lost their lives to the disease.

Harsh weather conditions have negatively impacted the event as of late. This year, participants won’t have to face the cool spring air throughout the night; the entire event will take place indoors.

The William “Bill” Cherry Ag Expo Center typically plays host to activities such as farm fairs and tractor pulls. This weekend, organizers swapped out the building's soil floor for a track.

The relay will run until 7 tomorrow morning. For more information, visit Relay For Life’s official site or the Murray-Calloway County Relay For Life Facebook page.
