Calloway Names New Superintendent

McLean County Schools

McLean County Schools Superintendent Tres Settle is leaving the district to assume the same post in Calloway County. Settle has been with McLean County since 2008 and is a member of the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents.

Settle is a Calhoun, Kentucky native with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a Master's and Rank 1 in Educational Administration at Western Kentucky University. He later added a superintendent endorsement from Murray State University.

He replaces Steve Hoskins who returned from retirement to lead the school for one year.

Settle was a finalist for McCracken County Schools Superintendent in 2010. He says he approaches his leadership roles with the “philosophy of shared responsibility and collective decision making.” Settle’s first day at Calloway County is July 1st.
