Murray, KY – Kentucky State Police have charged a Calloway County man with complicity to commit murder as they investigate the death of a Murray man. 31-year-old Jayson Workman was arrested yesterday on charges related to the murder of 24-year-old Herbert Donald Scandell, who was found in the back seat of a single-car wreck with multiple stab wounds. Officers were initially responding to the wreck, where a car reportedly crashed into a creek bed. Workman was a passenger and suffered light injuries from the wreck. The driver, 21-year-old Kayla Workman, was critically injured and airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Investigators expect additional charges to be filed in the case.
