Caldwell Declared a Work Ready Community

Kentucky Workforce Investment Board

Caldwell County is now a certified ‘Kentucky Work Ready Community.’ Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Secretary Hal Heiner said Friday that Caldwell, Adair and Bourbon Counties now hold the designation.

“Work Ready” certification shows that a community is working with business, education, workforce and economic development leaders to set and meet common goals to enhance the local economy. Criteria must be met in six areas including graduation rates, community commitment and educational attainment. Work Ready status must be recertified every three years.

Crittenden County was certified as ‘community in progress’ last month. Other western Kentucky counties achieving Work Ready certification include Caldwell, Carlisle, Daviess, Henderson, Hopkins, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg.
